CHICAGO
Cushman Adds Retail Brokerage Services in Chicago

Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois formed a retail brokerage services division in Chicago and tapped three professionals to oversee the new group. Retail experts Meredith Oliver (far left), Luke Molloy (center) and Brent Wayburn (left) will lead the team.

Oliver assumed the role of senior director after serving as a principal at Metro Commercial Real Estate. The 10-year commercial real estate veteran works with national and local landlords, developers and property owners on leases and purchase and sale deals.

Molloy, a tenant and landlord representation specialist, was also named senior director. He has a dozen years in the industry, most recently as an associate with Mid-America Real Estate Co., where he was recognized as a top producer for the last two years.

Wayburn, who joined the industry nine years ago, is a former vice president at MCRE. The new C&W director will focus on tenants, specifically restaurants, in the Chicago DMA.

JACKSONVILLE
CBRE Expands Multi-Housing Group in Jacksonville

Brian Moulder joined CB Richard Ellis’ Multi-Housing Group in Jacksonville, FL, as senior vice president.

Moulder has spent nearly eight years honing his skills in the multifamily investment properties market. He most recently served as an investment advisor and head of the Jacksonville office of Southeast Apartment Partners, an Atlanta, GA-based firm. Moulder has been involved with the marketing of more than $650 million in total transaction value for multifamily properties and land for apartment projects.

Moulder also worked as an apartment broker with Cushman & Wakefield/The Apartment Group and started his career as an office leasing representative with CBRE in Atlanta.

WESTCHESTER/SOUTH CONNECTICUT
Ashforth Named Principal at Transwestern
Tom Ashforth, former senior vice president of investments for The Ashforth Co., joined Transwestern as principal at its new corporate office at One Fawcett Place in Greenwich, CT. The office will represent both tenants and landlords and provide strategic investment services to buyers and sellers of commercial real estate.

Ashforth’s career spans 25 years with real estate experience in the Fairfield and Westchester markets. He previously worked with northeast regional president Patrick Robinson and principal Jim Millard at Transwestern, and his client list includes JP Morgan Chase, NOP (Calpers), and Sterling Equities. He also worked for Hines in both New York and Connecticut.

CHICAGO, NORTHERN NEW JERSEY, PHOENIX
C&W Expands Exec Ranks for Industrial Property Management
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed three industrial property management professionals in its Investor Services division as part of a strategic initiative to enhance the firm’s industrial property management platform for its clients through the entire lifecycle of the property.

Patrick Connelly will lead Cushman & Wakefield’s industrial property management activities in the eastern U.S. region, Victoria Knudson will lead the central region, and Mark Stevens will lead the firm’s western region.

Connelly will be based in New Jersey. A former vice president of asset management with Matrix Development Group, he successfully managed more than 12 million square feet of industrial and office product. Connelly brings extensive experience in property management, leasing, development and construct over a career spanning almost two decades.

Knudson will be based in Chicago. As a former vice president of operations with AMB Property Corporation, she was responsible for the management of industrial properties in and around Chicago. She has effected dispositions of more than $65 million since 2004, and prior to that served as vice president at Trammel Crow.

Stevens will be based in Phoenix, where along with his industrial property management role will also serve as the firm’s director and city lead, overseeing a 5 million-square-foot portfolio providing leasing and management services. Stevens’ prior role as senior vice president of investments with Cabot Properties placed him in charge of industrial real estate acquisitions in excess of $200 million. He previously served as vice president of RREEF working with more than 200 national tenants in an industrial portfolio spanning 180 million square feet.

NEW YORK CITY
Handler Launches Third Party Management Division
Handler Real Estate Organization launched a new third party management division. Ken Abelson will head the group as senior managing director of third party properties.

Abelson, a 35-year industry veteran, will focus on procuring third party leasing and property management opportunities for Handler in New York City.

Abelson is the former director of marketing at Brokers Services Holding LLC/William B. May. He also managed properties at J.G. Haft & Co., worked in leasing at Murray Hill Properties and Newmark Knight Frank, and served as a principal and founder of Gumley-Haft Inc.

INLAND EMPIRE
Cushman & Wakefield Expands IE Presence
The Ontario office of Cushman & Wakefield expanded its team and presence in the Inland Empire with the addition of Taylor Ing, Michael Day, and Drew Sanden.

The trio was previously a team with CB Richard Ellis, prior to moving over to Cushman & Wakefield. These three are among the top office brokerage professionals in the Inland Empire, and the addition of their team will go a long way in enhancing the firm’s local presence, according to executive director and managing broker, Phil Lombardo.

Taylor Ing is coming on as executive director, Michael Day as senior director, and Drew Sanden as associate director.

PORTLAND, SEATTLE
Kidder Mathews Promotes Hatcher to EVP
Brian Hatcher has been promoted to executive vice president at Kidder Mathews and will head the firm’s commercial real estate brokerage group for the Washington and Oregon regions totaling six offices from Seattle to Portland. He will focus on strategic business development and recruitment for the firm.

Hatcher was hired from within the firm’s Bellevue office, where has served the firm for the last 15 years of his extensive, 27-year brokerage career. During this time he has completed more than 1,500 transactions, representing such firms as HAL Real Estate Investments, ChemPoint, PACCAR and Univar.
