A dark and spooky trail through the woods is the setting of “Terror in the Pines” a frightening walk dreamed up by the Shaker Pines Fire Department that starts Friday night.

The walk includes a series of terrifying scenes that play out in a cemetery, on a school bus, in a smoke-filled tunnel and on an acre of corn grown specifically for the event. There will also be a clown building, a laser light building and a butcher.

The short trail walk takes place in a wooded area beside the firehouse at 37 Bacon Road.

“Terror In the Pines,” will happen this Friday and Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m., as well as Oct. 21 and 22, and Oct. 28, 29 and 30 (the Sunday event will wrap up at 10 p.m.).

Admission is $10, or $8 with a can of food for the Enfield Food Shelf. The walk is recommended for ages 10 and up. For more information call 860-749-8552.
